These might not be the cheapest set you'll find, but they are sturdy and comprehensive. They appear to be corrosion-resistant, which is definitely needed for outdoor panels.Most impressive was that they came with real roofing screws and a sealant. If you are looking to install your panels on a roof, here's how you do it: install the brackets on your panels FIRST and tighten them well. Then put the whole panel on the roof and screw them in place. Unscrew them and squeeze in the sealant, then screw them back in tightly. This will give you a water-tight seal.

Universal fit. I've used these to mount Renology and Newpowa panels. For reasons not worth noting, I had to mount the panels on wooden frames made from pressure-treated 2x4s. Once the frame was assembled, I could just put it on a pair of sawhorses and mount the panels using these brackets. First, I firmly attached the brackets to the panels. Then I attached the panels - via the brackets - to the frame. Now they are standing up, 2 panels to a frame, against the sunny side of the garage. The brackets come with all the hardware you need.

Was able to attach to an all weather wood frame. Avoid all the work and cost of unistrut.

These brackets are the minimum that you could buy to install a PV panel and they are well made. The tolerances are perfect, they are shiny and look nice. I have a cheaper standard metal roof and I must make a spacer to lift the panels up another 1/8 inch to be surfaced mounted. I chose cork that I’ll cut to fit. That seems like a lot of nonsense. If they would make these taller, there would be no problem. That’s why I called these by the unusual title.

I’ve used these on my wood shop roof. One Cat 1 Hurricane and multiple tropical storms later, they’re still solid.Warning. Although the mounting screws have a rubber washer, I would NOT put them directly through roof sheathing alone. Guaranteed leaks in my humble opinion and likely not as solid. I first put down 1x6 PCV boards (stacked 2 high) that I screwed directly into rafters with 3” deck screws, caulked and flex sealed the leading edge. THEN attached these brackets to the PVC boards with screws provided.

These brackets are great for solar panels. The self tapping screws work great when mounting panels to super strut. None of the screws broke !I have ordered at least 10 or more of these kits. Would definitely order more if the need arises.

These renogy z brackets are the only mounts i've used. I used two sets for a 200w solar panel system on our RV... and used quite a few of them to mount our 18 230w panels. I had all 18 panels up in racks of 3 in a temporary installation during construction when hurricane Michael hit. The eyewall went right over our property with 200+ mph winds. We lost over 80 trees but not a single z-bracket came lose. We did lose a few panels in the storm and in one case had a 200lb+ rack of three panels thrown about 50 yards... but every z-bracket held (screwed into 2x4s with included screw/bolts) and amazingly the solar panels didn't take any damage in their flight. I can't see using anything else.
