Hi, what is the difference between the black and the slate, other thatn the $50 difference? Thank you.
What type of charging cable is needed if I lost mine?
My current clicker does not work with zoom. i can not move the slides forward or backward I have to use the mouse pad. Will this one work?
Window focus: for pc + projector setups, will the device continue to change slides even when e.g. powerpoint app is not the window in focus on the pc?

Another great quality product from Logi!

Presenter Remote with great quality product. Perfect range. Nice slim hassel-free design with long lasting charged battery. Fully customizable buttons functionality using Logi App. It is worth it though expensive.

Works with Keynote Speaker on iPad!

I am absolutely over the moon about this clicker. I finally found one that works with Keynote Speaker on iPad - which is what I use to teach in the classroom (routed to the in-class projector). If you are in a similar boat as myself, and were out of luck on a clicker that would work with this setup - this one from Logitech does the trick! For two years now, I have been reduced to carrying around a bluetooth keyboard hitting the down button for each new slide as I ran throughout the classroom trying to teach simultaneously (Logitech Keys-to-go, if anyone is interested), but that was super unwieldy, as you can imagine, and I kept leaving it in places and the students had to help me find all my stuff. One week, I actually wore a server's apron to get it all done, lol (okay, but embarrassing).(Also, the keys-to-go just finally up and died on me. Still works as a keyboard, just not as a slide advancer... huh.)Now, finally: this little clicker. I can carry it with me and teach from wherever. It works from any place in the classroom, which is rather large (classroom, not lecture hall). Now, to find skirts with functional pockets, so that I can actually teach hands-free... augh. Anyways, it beats carrying around a keyboard.

Overpriced and underperforming for a "wireless mouse".

I bought this to replace the presentation controls in PowerPoint such as the "laser" pointer and magnify features. The remote is built well and connectivity is good seeing how you have two option such as a USB dongle and Bluetooth and the quick charge is a plus but in terms of functionality, it is a big let down. All this device does is replicate your mouse pointer. This is a huge let down as I like to have Presenter mode on my laptop while I project my main slides onto a bigger screen. This means I cannot scroll down the comments I made to keep track of talking points. I had to readjust the pointer to my laptop and then to the big screen constantly in my last presentation and that took time (even though its seconds which seems like forever when waiting for a speaker to talk cause he is fidgeting with his laptop). If you do not readjust the mouse to the bigger screen then you will end up magnifying or highlighting your laptop screen which was very frustrating. Trying to go from laptop screen to bigger screen by swinging your arm around is like trying to use a Nintendo Wii remote. I feel you are better off buying Logitech's (or other brands) lower end remote for the laser pointer and the forward and back buttons for slides as opposed to buying this item for ~$100.

A few minor flaws, but worth the money

Last summer I bought a Logitech Spotlight clicker. I was a little nervous about the purchase since I'd never spent that much on a presentation clicker before. After four weeks of use, I can say without a doubt that for someone who does a lot of presentations, it is worth every penny.Pros:No batteries required. You charge it via a USB cable. After four weeks of hard usage, it is still at 100%, it vibrates when the battery is low, it automatically turns off and on, and according to the instructions, you can give it a 3 hour charge by plugging it into your computer for 1 minute.Error free clicking. Every clicker I've used before has occasionally double clicked or not clicked when I pushed the button. In over 50 presentations so far, it has not mis-clicked once. They claim the range is 100 feet and that seems to be the case. I'm using it with the dongle, and I've had to place it behind a curtain around a corner on a stage, and still worked fine. You can also connect it via Bluetooth.Instant connectivity: I often have to use someone else's computer for a presentation and have only a few minutes to get up and running. In the past, this has been an issue. This takes a minute or two to install the drivers, but is always working as soon as I need it. This is the case for both Macs and PCs, older laptops and newer.Features: Holy moley! This thing has so many features. There are only 3 buttons (forward, back, and pointer) which makes it simple to use, and the forward button is bigger than the other two, which is great for my big fingers. But you can also customize the buttons. The pointer can be a cursor, a spotlight that darkens the rest of the screen while making a flashlight-like circle which moves as you move the clicker, or a magnifier. You can also customize what happens if you hold down the top or bottom buttons. I control the volume with one (moving the clicker up or down) and blank the screen with the other. There is a also a countdown timer you can set to vibrate when you are five minutes from ending time.Cons:It's about $100, which isn't cheap for a clicker. In order to use spotlight and other custom buttons, you have to install software. Some of the PCs I had to use downloaded the software automatically, but on others, I lost those features for that presentation.I've heard there is a lag on the pointer if the projector is hooked to the PC wirelessly. I seldom run into this, so not a concern for me.There is no laser, so if you are using someone else's PC and don't have internet access to download the software, you do not have a pointer. This has been a minor issue for me at times. All, in all, I am super satisfied and highly recommend it,
