I recently wrapped up a project that involved setting up outdoor RGB LED light strips. Going against the usual advice from manufacturers not to cut the strip, I found myself with no other choice for my specific setup. The real trick was to install the wires discreetly while keeping the lights working perfectly. After trying out a few different options, I stumbled upon the BTF-Lighting 32.8ft/10m 3 Pin 18AWG Extension Cable, and honestly, it was a total game-changer for the project.This particular extension cable is tailor-made for WS2812B, WS2811, WS2814, SK6812, and other similar RGB LED strip lights. Its versatility makes it a great fit for various LED projects. What really impressed me about this cable was its dependability and how user-friendly it was. I was initially pretty hesitant about splitting my LED strips, but this extension cable made the whole process seamless and stress-free.I was genuinely impressed with the wire quality. It’s 18AWG, which is sturdy enough to handle the power needs without causing any voltage drop-off. This means the LED lights work just as they should. The length of the cable, at 32.8 feet, gives plenty of room to work with, allowing me to route the cables just where I needed them, no compromises.If you’re in the market to extend your RGB LED light strips, this is the only product I’d feel confident recommending.

Very good quality. Used to build a LED strip light parallel circuit.

First, the label says "SKU: 5pin-22awg-10m". Thinking I had been shipped 22 awg instead of 20 awg, I exchanged it. The second package label has the same SKU text printed on it.Wire gauge matters for, among other things, crimp-on connector use.To clarify the gauge, I stripped about an inch of insulation and twisted the strands of copper tightly. This would be the most favorable case for measuring the copper diameter. (With the wire strands loose, it's hard to get a consistent reading.)With a digital caliper the wire measured between .017" - .021" . The wire gauge charts I see call for AWG20 to be .032" . At .021" as a most positive reading, that would be 24 gauge. *After* twisting tightly.

Pictures hopefully help. Overall happy with how it all went together. Note that this wire did not fit with the 5-pin connector. The wire with the LED strip and connector kit has a thinner insulation then this wire. I ended up soldering the wires together and using some heat shrink tubing to protect the connection. Connection to the controller was really easy as was a small hole in the bottom of the kitchen cabinet to rout the wire trough. I decided on BTF-Lighting for everything to keep it simple. Reaching out to their customer support was promptly replied to with a design to fit what I wanted. Opted for the brighter strip as this is task lighting under the cabinets in both the kitchen and laundry area. Only snag I had was the wire did not fit into the connectors, just some quick solder and heat shrink tubing did the trick. Installed the controller inside the bottom of the cabinet, power supply on the top shelf of the cabinet to prevent little hands from reaching it. I used this to to connect several 5-conductor 10-amp 13-foot RBGW+ COB LED strip lights to each other and to a 40-amp 24-volt power supply. Soft vinyl insulation bends and strips easily, very fine stranded CCA copper coated aluminum wire, wire gauge seems accurate. No complaints.

I used this for custom headlights. I was running hundreds of LEDs per headlights. Now anything over 18ga can be tricky to solder to the pads of the LEDs so I did double runs of power, single run for data, and double runs for ground. Transfers plenty of power, runs data perfectly (blueghozt module) and it's not too difficult to solder down.
