Reads all Ford ODBII codes
Why did you pick this product vs others?:I heard this was the product to purchase when wanting to interface with a Ford vehicle. They were right. I plugged the unit into the OBDII port and hooked to my laptop. Searched on-line for the drivers, downloaded, installed. Fired up the Forscan app and was in business. It was very quick to set up in the program and when connected to the car, it started providing codes quickly and accurately. What more can one ask, it works perfectly and without spending time trying to figure stuff out. If you are in need of an interface from PC to OBDII, I can recommend this one for sure. (Plus it is not more expensive than one of the cheap ODBII scanners that read only engine codes.)I

Works flawlessly!
Works flawlessly. Don’t have any switches to worry about. Worth the cost. Plus it’s wired so there are no signal interferences to worry about.A little more money than others, but glad I went with this one. Also forscan recommends this adapter as well.

Buy the EX over the black 317 obd2
This EX adapter worked with my 2024 f250. It loaded the drivers on its own to USB 3.0. It came with the latest firmware. I was able to use Forscan to solve my TPMS modification.Note: I couldn't get the lower cost black adapter to work. I spent a few frustrating hours playing with drivers. So after all that I ended up having to return it thru ups store. While it's cheaper, of course I cannot recommend it.

Incredibly easy to use and worked perfectly right out the package
Perfect for looking at all my codes and allowed me to fix an issue where I enabled MyKey on my 2018 Ford Focus and haven't been able to disable it for about 2 years (Wasn't given a Admin key with my car). Took me maybe 15 minutes from opening the package to fixing the problem. 70 dollars vs 300 or more from a dealer more than made this product worth it.

Works with FORScan
Bought this to use to program my bronco with FORScan, and it works really good, never had a dropped connection or a misread on codes, I would recomment this adapter for anyone using the FORScan software as it doesnt drop the connection in any way and it is very capable of programing your car the way you want! it is not a massive thing too, which some adapters are huge, this one is just a regular size OBDII plug and it has a nice LED indicator.

Great tool to diagnose issues
It is nearly impossible to do any repair's yurself on modern vehicles without the abilty to interrogate the ECM and to run tests. This tool provides the hardware "adapter" to the car's computer systems, and allows software on a laptop to connect to, read, and interact with our car. The adapter is good, but to get the most out of it and what it offers you need good software.I've used this with both OBDLink and ForScan. I have only Ford vehicles (ford trucks and cars, and lincoln car). The ForScan is the software I prefer, and I went ahead and purchased the extended license (1 year for $19 if I remeber correctly). That fee is to help them continue developing the code.I did try it with OBDLink as well, and it worked very well as well. OBDLink is free, but will only allow you to read codes and sensor values, and it may be able to do some tests (didnt get that far with OBDLink). There are other software products out there as well, and they may be compatible with this unit. One of the important aspects is that this is NOT an ELM327 knock-off. It is a completely different solution that works very well. It's fast, reliable, and just works. The ELM327 chip is getting old, and is not compatible with some of the newer protocols. Also, there are a flood of poor quality copies of the ELM327 out there, so stay away from them, buy this unit! The OBDLink EX is the USB version, there is also a bluetooth version. I personally like the USB version so I can attach it to my laptop. The laptop gives me a lot more storage for logging, profiles, etc.I bought this to replace a very old, and very expensive commercial unit that eventually died. This does all it did, and a few more things, especially with the ForScan software.

Works well.
Works with laptop to plug into DLC port to scan automobile problems. Ford owners can use this with FORSCAN software for precisely diagnosing problems with their Fords.
