Works Great
I bought this alarm bc of the good reviews. For some reason my freezer door has opened 2x's on me this month. Considering I have it 9 years for extra freezer space. and never ever happened before. Thankfully I did not lose any food as I am always in the basement for something. It was easy to install and set up. It has a loud alarm which is good to hear from basement. Hopefully it won't go off and that my freezer door stays shut as it should. Better to be safe than sorry.

Works
Works well enough! Our fridge door is easy to accidentally leave open and the fridge doesn't have its own alarm. This beeps fairly quietly at first but when you leave the door open for too long, the alarm is very loud. Does the job!

Works great.
This is a handy little door alarm. I just purchased out second one. We have a fridge that likes to pop the freezer door open when the fridge door is shut. This little alarm is excellent. It gives you time to get what you need but gives a loud alarm if the doors don’t close completely.

I can hear it
I was worried I wouldn't hear it, so I put it in the freezer room ( unattached) with door closed and set it on the loudest setting. Then I turned TV on and was watching at normal volume. The alarms progress low to high- I could barely hear first one (at 1 minute) , The second and 3 alarms ( at 2 and 3 minutes) were very audible..and the 4th alarm at 4 minutes was as loud as smoke alarm going off. Easy to use and stuck well to the freezer and door with 2 sided adhesive. . I recently lost several hundred dollars worth of groceries because someone (me) forgot to close freezer. nice to have this loud peace of mind. It is a excellent product for the price.

Great alarm!
This refrigerator door alarm works perfectly as described! Perfect for those who have an elderly person at home who has dementia and constantly leaves the refrigerator door open. Even if the person leaves the door open for a few minutes, the last sounding alarm is so loud, you definitely cannot miss it! It's very loud and piercing!

do not buy, poor performance, bad design
I'm sorry to say that this freezer alarm deserves no more than one star. I had high hopes, but it fell short in numerous ways:Firstly, if you plan to install it in a basement or garage, your only hope of hearing an alarm is to set it to mode 4. Even then, it's far from reliable.Even when the unit is "in alarm" mode, it hardly makes any noise. This means that in a real event, you might not even notice it's sounding an alarm. When installed in a basement or garage, and despite setting it to mode 4, the unit's volume is disappointingly low. The fact that it doesn't continously make any noise while in alarm mode makes it likely that you won't hear the alarm when it matters most. You practically need luck on your side for it to be effective during an open-door event. One of the reasons for this lackluster performance is that the speaker faces downwards towards the installation surface, and the installation tape partially obstructs it. Even if you manage to install it with the speaker in free air, it still doesn't produce a sufficiently loud sound. Again, luck seems to be a crucial factor here.If you happen to have other appliances like a washer, dryer, or TV running in the background, the odds of hearing this alarm are slim to none.Furthermore, the decision to use smaller 'coin' batteries to keep the unit small is not practical. More commonly available AA batteries would have been far more convenient. To make matters worse, changing the batteries requires a tool, which is an unnecessary hassle.Considering the high price tag and the disappointing sound performance, I cannot recommend this product at all.Save your money and look for a more reliable freezer alarm option. This one simply doesn't live up to its promises.
