Yes this is a crank brothers multi tool. I searched around before I bought this one and it is well worth the money. I can pretty much take my whole bike apart with this tool.

Q: For a chain repair, do i also need a chain pliers in my bag or i can just use this to temporarily fix my chain?

This tool is all you need. I carry an extra quick link though.

It’s possible your tool is an older version that was only compatible with up to a 10 speed chain.
