This is the absolute best digestive enzyme I've tried -- and I've tried a LOT of them. I'm experiencing tremendous relief from these and I couldn't be happier. Everyone is different of course, but it's worth giving a try for sure! One capsule before a meal is all you need. I use it just with dinner so the 90 capsule bottle is long lasting!

My husband has been taking this for the last week and a half before meals that he expects might give him digestive difficulties. I tried it myself the other night, taking it before we indulged in a rare fast food treat from a popular chain with a bell in its logo. The food from this chain almost always gives my husband some issues, so of course, he took this product first. As has been his experience with this stuff, it seemed to help him. Unfortunately, I experienced some cramping afterwards, which is unusual for me. Could have been a fluke, of course, but maybe this stuff is great for some people, like my husband, and not so great for others, like me. That said, I will try it again because I had hoped to use it as a secondary defense against accidental gluten exposure. Especially when eating out, cross-contamination is always a concern for anybody with celiac disease or gluten sensitivity, so having something that can help you break down those proteins can't be a bad thing--just in case. The thing is, my husband has used other digestive enzyme products with success, and they cost a lot less than this stuff. The fact that BioTRUST AbsorbMax is made in a GMP-certified facility and is tested for purity and safety by a third party gives me some peace of mind, and I like that they are small, easy to swallow capsules. So would I recommend it? I guess if the price (currently nearly fifty bucks) doesn't bother you, go for it. This was terrible on the stomach. It caused stomach pain and upset. After taking for a week my husband had to stop taking because he had terrible issues.

The proven result is ease in digestion, and less bloating and gassiness for many. Before embarking on any supplementation it is of course a good idea to discuss with your doc first. Compared with similar products, BioTrust’s version is well priced at .54 per one capsule dose.

This is a good multi-enzyme formula. It will digest a variety of nutrients and can operate in multiple pH environments.The formula is particularly strong in proteases to digest protein, including 200 SAPU of aspergillopepsin, a protease designed to work most efficiently in the acid environment of the stomach. It also contains some bromelain, which digests protein. It also should help with people who have gas issues from vegetables and beans, since it contains enzymes that will digest highly complex carbohydrates.It is a little low in lipase, but that seems to be the case for almost every multi-enzyme formula. It contains 1000 FIP. I prefer around 5,000 FIP.This formula also contains ATPrime, which I had to research. It's basically a supplement to raise ATP levels in the body, which can impact energy levels. That is an interesting addition.Overall, this is a good enzyme formula. I like it.

It’s arrived quickly and well packaged. The capsules are a little bit smaller than standard size capsules. They are very easy to swallow. There is no discernible taste or odor. I haven’t noticed any negative side effects. I have noticed that my belly bloat has gone down considerably since I started taking these!
