I bought this for a slightly different scenario. I needed to unwind brand new pre-made Ethernet, SDI, and XLR cables so I could put them onto cable reels. This product worked great once I got the hang of it. The only change I'd love to see might not work for the intended scenario. The four pieces that connect to the center square tube are a bit too wide, and many of the cables I had were wound a bit too small in the middle. Tapering those side pieces closer to the top would allow smaller rolls of cable to be used on it (see the arrows in my photo). Other than that, this saved me a LOT of time of unwinding cables manually before putting them on reels.

Works great for pulling wires from 250’ wire packs. Makes the job go much faster and without the wires getting hung up when pulling. Used to wire my basement that I am finishing.
