Very well made
This item is well made. Durable. Ready to use. Not heavy(weight). I like the tilt feature too lay it back to access my hatch back/ trunk. I added a bungee to keep rods in place for long trip. I suggest for SUV's get the extention for better clearance of the vehicle. I'm very pleased.

Great Rod Holder For Hitch
Great product. Very lightweight aluminum and easy to assemble. Love the ability to put the holder in different angled positions. I can't use the straight-up position on my jeep because of the spare tire but the angled position works great for me as I only carry rods short distance. I would need to add a hitch-extender to make the fully-upright position work. I only wish the manufacturer had a 8-rod or 10-rod option. Overall very happy!

Good quality
Doesn’t interfere with tailgate. I can still drop top half of GMC tailgate with rods in the holder with them in the straight position.Highly recommended

What was expected
Read the reviews prior to purchasing. As was mentioned the pivot has a lot of play. For my use the pivot feature was not needed so Bolted it firmly with appropriate size fasteners and select fit spacers. Fishing buddy needed the pivot feature so we fitted the pivot point better. All in all design is good and at the price point would buy again.

Great way to haul some rods to the spot/boat.
This is a great way to haul a few rods and keep them out of the inside of the vehicle. The fact that you can change the angle of the rack makes it possible to access the back of an SUV while still having the rods in the holders. I will say that when I do use this rack, I also bolt on a bracket to keep it steady in the receiver - this keeps the rack from rattling/moving at all while driving - as there is always a little slack when these go into the receiver. If you don’t, you’ll hear it back there.

Remove rods before travel!!!
Page 1 of the instructions say “remove rods before travel. “If this is not meant to help you transport rods, then what is the actual purpose of it?There’s also no way of locking the rods in place. You have to find some way of using a bungee cord to hold the rods.

Good holder
This rod holder does exactly what it should do. I bought it with an extender to go on my Honda 4x4. Works like it should.

Great for hauling, not so much for trolling
I got this rod holder to carry my fishing rods on the back of my truck. It's perfect for that. Then I got another idea. I thought they'd be really good for trolling! I live in Gulf Shores, AL. There is a canal that is full of fish there and a road that runs parallel to it. I Cast two rods in the canal then jumped in the truck and started driving figuring I could surely hook up like that. Now, I'm no ding dong so I set my drag real loose and rolled the window down to listen for the hook up. Sure enough, after just a few seconds of trolling both drags started screaming! I pulled over to find that I had just gotten hung up on the pine trees growing between the canal and road.I'll just stick with using this as a rod holder. It does great for that!
