Excellent cable fixing screwheads.
The screw heads are so much better that the inadequate ones on a DIN meter I bought at the same time.

Like it
I quite like this consumer unit. I wouldn't really feel it was 100% suitable for fully outdoor use but very nearly.Like another reviewer I also have an issue with the two screws/bolts on the hinge side as they foul the opening door slightly. To get round this you have to fully remove the 2 from the opposite side first (they are fairly rubbish & non-captive) then when lifting the lid you can get a small screwdriver onto the 2 hinge side ones and undo as you are lifting the lid so they do not rise up. A bit fiddly but no huge deal (I took a star off for this). It must be a common fault as I have another (different) unit I got for our greenhouse which has the same problem. The screws on the -ve & earth bars are not brass but look like zinc plated steel. The bars themselves are brass.Other than that there is not much more to say other it is obviously not up up to MK type quality (although I have populated mine with an MK RCD & breakers :)). When fully assembled it looks the part and will do the job I reckon.Mine came with blanks.Don't forget you will need glands/grommets for it and a suitable hole cutter.Recommended

Purchased 2 and 1 was dangerously faulty.
I thought this price was too good to be true. Considering major electrical wholesalers selling these for £50+.Ordered two and one failed RCD test button as well as RCD trip time on my calibrated Megger tester.DO NOT BUY THIS UNLESS YOU HAVE THE CORRECT EQUIPMENT TO TEST IT AND HAVE THE TIME TO P*ISS about removing it, going to buy another one, return to job and refit.Arrived in clear zip lock bag with white sticker on. Questionable whether they are actually genuine. If I hadn’t tested this and realised it was faulty, it would of been potentially lethal. In a TT installation this is likely the only thing saving your life in the event of a fault, and it failed at that! I’d advise you buy from somewhere else

Can't Fault It
The following is my paraphrasing of the comments from our electrician who fitted this yesterday........ Its well designed and thought out RCD. Its compact and easy to fit, but not fiddly. All the connections are easily accessible and the wiring is held firmly in place. One of the best domestic RCDs he's fitted. He couldn't find anything to fault with it. Most importantly of course.... it works.
