This camera can work on DC power, but it doesn't have any Wi-Fi capability. It also cannot be connected to your router. It has to be connected to a Reolink NVR box, which provides the PoE (power over ethernet) and receives the video signal. It is part of an integrated system. If you want a Reolink Wi-Fi camera, there are several options such as: RLC-551WA or the REOLINK 4K WiFi Security Camera with Ultra-Wide Angle. The advantage of a PoE system is that you only have to run one wire (Cat 5 cable) to the camera. If you have cameras in odd places, you will have to find a way to run a power cord or have someone install a 110 socket near the camera.

Q: Has anyone tried a 512gb or 1tb microsd card in the rlc-810a? i know the docs say up to 256gb, but sometimes firmware upgrades capability.
