Works for a 2009 Kenmore chest freezer
Used this PTC to replace the burnt one on my 2009 Kenmore chest freezer, which uses ZEL compressor model GTH53AD. The original part had the thermal protection (black puck) separate from the current overload (white block). This item has them both combined into one package. The only problem I faced was the little metal cage welded onto the compressor to protect the device. The new one wouldn't fit in there. I had to shave a the edge at the round end of the case, and the top of the "ear". The one next to the not numbered terminal. Should've taken a photo. Then it was able to clear the metal cage, and plug-in. I expect this would last another 15 years or so. :-)

Wasn't the part I needed
Had a several-year-old Haier freezer that stopped cooling. I had done some diagnostics and figured it was the (non-repairable) motor but a friend persuaded me that this relay or a cheap replacement capacitor might fix it a lot cheaper than a new freezer. It was the motor. I'm annoyed this didn't work cuz it was cheap and the new freezer was $$$, but oh well.

Cheap way to revive a dead chest freezer
I bought this because my chest freezer stopped working and after doing research found that this part dies fairly often and since the chest freezer doesnt have many other parts that are high points of failure, spending $10 to fix a $200 chest freezer seemed worth it.I just had to disconnect the wires on the old one and pull it out and had this one in all in under 15 min and the chest freezer is back to working great.

Cheap and fixed my chest freezer
My Frigidaire chest freezer stopped cooling completely. Took the relay out and I could hear something loose inside. Found broken pieces of the magnet to trigger the connection in the relay when I opened it up. Purchased this, installs in 2 minutes and my chest freezer was up and running again! I will be purchasing a second one just in case, for $10 it’s a good insurance to have the backup after I lost a couple of hundred in food from the oem relay.
