Only gave 4 stars as they are bit pricey if they came cheaper would be 5.

I needed to boost my immune system, I basically don’t have one due to medication, and I learnt recently that the majority of your immune system is in your gut, so I went on a research mission to find an all in one tablet that ticked all the boxes and this was the one I chose.There aren’t many pre and probiotics out there yet, so I’m very impressed with this one, the tablets are fairly easy to take and I take one in the morning and one at night. Not sure if I will increase to the four daily, but if things don’t improve on the two a day I will.

These pro-biotic capsules differ from most by including some pre-biotic ingredients too, namely Psyllium husk and acacia fibres. These are intended to provide a suitable growth environment for the three lactobacillus and two bifidobacterium cultures in the mix.I can't say whether this approach is more effective for me as I always include a lot of natural fibre (both soluble and insoluble types) in my daily diet. But for someone lacking dietary fibre this may mean the effects are felt more quickly.The five strains of bacteria are the usual ones but the makers stress that they are stable at room temperature so don't need to be stored in a fridge.The capsules are large but easy to swallow with plenty of water. They don't have an unpleasant taste or smell. The instructions suggest starting off by taking 1 capsule twice a day, moving on to two capsules twice a day, but they don't say how long before moving to the larger dose, which is confusing. The full 4-capsule dose is designed to deliver 20 billion of these friendly microorganisms to my gut. So far I haven't noticed any bad effects. The product is rather too expensive for me to consider taking these capsules over the long term.

It's always difficult as an end-user of such products to give a proper analysis of their effectiveness, as it's only going to be confirmed one way of the other through double blind trials involving thousands of people over months if not years. However I do find that with most such probiotics, as is the case here, when you start a course of them, they do unsettle your insides slightly for a couple of days before returning to a more stable situation, which I regard as a good thing because it hopefully shows that bacteria being introduced are taking hold and displacing less friendly ones. Very wisely, the instructions say to start with a low dosage of 1 every other day before building up to 1 a day and then so on up to 4 a day.

The media could not be loaded. While I like gut health products I don't like this one, must be because 20 billion isn't enough I need probably 40 or minimum 30b to make a difference, this is a waste of money it just irritated my kidneys. Maybe not enough psyllium husk powder, I thought this would help me go toilet but I see its dose is probably too weak, I took 2 pills still wasn't enough, sorry not going to take 3 or 4 just to get this working like I said this just irritated my kidneys.

We wouldn't be without probiotics now, I feel they help to maintain our general wellbeing overall.I feel they're good value too especially with the 50% off voucher.

I have a very low immunity, due to chronic illness and medication. I sometimes have problems with my digestive system which I think is partly due to poor immunity.You have to build up slowly when using these tablets which seems sensible. Some of my other medications have had to be slowly built up.I'm not sure if these helped or not, my digestive system seemed better, however I don't always have a problem with it.At the current price of £24.99 I unfortunately couldn't afford to use them regularly, and you need to use them regularly for them to work. They are good quality, but out of my price range.

I really appreciate the fact that this is a clearly marked vegan supplement with a vegetarian capsule shell.The capsules are typical size and easy enough to swallow.You are getting 120 here and if you stick to the recommended serving size of 4 then they will last you around one month. At around £25 it's not especially cheap but I don't mind paying a slight premium to know it's a vegan supplement.You get a decent expiry date so more than enough time to use this supplement up.Certainly one to consider for your gut health.
