Q: has anyone used this vise to drill into a perl?

The black bumpers,and orange bumpers are a hard plastic,not soft rubber so I would use caution on anything you would not want the finish scuffed.

Q: Im needing to use this for holding ornaments and yeti mugs....is this big enough. I need to put vinyl on these items and need something to hold them.

Greetings, I did not know what a yeti mug was so I did a search and what I found appears to be about the size of a good coffee mug. Based on that observation I think the vise you are considering will NOT serve you very well. I think it is too small and light weight. It's jaws will open enough to grasp the mug handle but it does not have sufficient weight to hold your work stable. I suggest a suction base base such as the POWERTEC 71016 Vacuum Base Vise also available on Amazon. If you search for suction base vise you will find many choices - all very similar, some with extra features in the $20 - $60 range. I have one very similar to the $20 POWERTEC 71016 and it is substantial unit and the suction works well. I hope this helps you and I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Regards, Ken

This is not a precise vice... in fact, I had to modify the fastners that hold down the soft jaws, elimating the flatehead bolts and replacing them with washers and round head bolts. If work you plan to perform uses small pieces I would look elsewhere for a more pricise vice.

Q: Is there attachment to fasten to drill press

It has 4 holes in the frame that you could use to bolt it to something. There is nothing included to affix it to a bench or drill press.
