No issues with connectivity or speed. Converter and SFP+ port get very hot.
Bought it to replace google fiber technicolor multi-gig router as the bridge device to my own router (an asus GT AX6000). Was able to use the same SM fiber SFP+ module included with the google wifi 6 router to patch in from the fiber line without any trouble.Had no issues with setting it up if using #3 dipswitch (instructions do not specify but I assume this is auto-negotiation mode with variable speed on both fiber/RJ45).For some reason it, will not connect using #4 dipswitch (based on manual this is fixed 10g fiber speed with variable RJ45 speed). It connects on both ends, but is never able to resolve outbound connections, which is odd. This should be the correct setting for my router/fiber-line, but since it still works otherwise, this is overall a head-scratcher instead of a real issue.Only major point to consider is that while active, both the device and the installed SFP port get very hot, almost too hot to touch, even in an otherwise cold basement. I resolved this situation by placing it on the same laptop cooling pad I use for my router. I have not had any issues since then. With an operating temperature listed as 50C max, I do not know how this would have impacted the device long term otherwise, since it regularly exceeds this temperature under heavy traffic.Definitely a worthwhile 10g SFP+ converter for the price, but the heat issue is something to keep in mind before buying.
