I set this up to be a timed watering system for a large house plant. At first it worked well but over a couple of weeks the motor died and the sensor started to fall apart. I sealed the electronics of the sensor with hot glue to keep it dry. That worked but the capacitance part of the sensor started to delaminate. I would not recommend.

The pumps and tubing are good but relays are defective.

This works great!Easy to connect and wire up. Made a plant self-watering system with it.Simple connections and relay for easy connections with an arduino.

Another worthless product brought to you by Amazon. I really wish these people would understand that we use an imperial system not the metric system. And I didn’t take Chinese in school so I have no understanding of their language.

If you search for capacitive soil sensors, reviews find a high rate of failure, and these sensors fall into that category. There is a small hole drilled in a copper connection which resulted in one of my sensors being faulty which you can see in the product pictures. One of my sensors failed to provide a reading while the other worked. Also the pumps started to rust out within two weeks of being in the water.Relays were good though.
