Toolzone 23Pc BSW Whitworth Tap and Die Set
The tap and tie set is good value for money and appears well made.I have used it once since my purchase and sorted the problem with the damaged thread on my vans arm rest with out any problem. Its a tool that you may only use a few times a year and the tool container the set comes in should keep everything together safely and everything in its own compartment.

Good value DIY tool
I needed to thread up a metric bolt to replace an old snapped Whitworth one it worked fine, perhaps not for the serious user but absolutely fine for the odd occasion most people will use it.

Item short
I opened the box and I was a die missing 1/4 - 20 bsw

well packed and neat metal box with popular sizes
too early to say about accuracy but everything looks entirely serviceable, one point that may impact of die cutting is that the dies being un split will always cut to actual size there is no opportunity to cut an undersize thread if you want to - this is not a criticism but an observation

BUYERS BEWARE !
Beware of positive feedback, these are dreadfully cheap and nasty. Taps are NOT plug taps, so shallow holes cannot be tapped to depth.Dies do not cut at all, advertised as split taps, THEY ARE NOT.

Good for the price
I wanted a Whitworth set for occasional use - cutting/repairing threads, rethreading metric nuts and bolts for non-critical repairs etc. This product does the job. I had an identical experience to another reviewer threading a 6mm aluminium rod with 1/4 WW die. Quite difficult to start cut (hence 4 stars), although the end result was fine. Clearly a budget item and this is reflected in the quality and performance, which are adequate for my purposes. This set is good value if you have a realistic expectation of an inexpensive piece of kit.BTW, here's a useful article on thread cutting with taps [...]
