Game Changer
This part is a game changer. Definitely need to buy this and get rid of auto shut off. It also fixed this mysterious random shut off I had going on too. Doesn't effect performance and best of all it's easy peazy to install too.

Worked perfectly on my 2020 Equinox Premier 2.0L engine
I knew my car battery was getting weak because the Auto Start/Stop feature no longer stopped the engine at every traffic light, which was fine with me. But winter was coming and I did not want to get stuck with a dead battery so I had a new one installed and Auto Start/Stop began killing the engine again.Because a 2020 does not have a disable button it was either continue to put the gear shift into L and manually shift up to L9 every time I started the car or live with the annoyance. I chose Door #3, buy this cable, and it's been perfect. No false dash displays, the key fob remote start still works, and the engine keeps running.I used a tie wrap to see cure the excess wire length but the cable does not come with one.

2019 Enclave Victory!
So...............bought a 2019 Buick Enclave (used) and absolutely love the car. EXCEPT the stupid "start/stop" technology that was built into it! The issue with the technology in this car is that there was no 'off' button from the factory to disable it like some other makes of vehicles have. In fact, so many complaints from Buick owners about this one issue made them address it and I believe the company added a disable button to them starting maybe with the 2021 models. When we got the car I immediately started searching for answers to disable it and found that you only had a couple of options: 1. you could downshift to manual mode when coming to a stop, or, 2. install a module for about a hundred dollars or more that would fake out the vehicle and make it think that the hood was open (like if a mechanic is working on it and needing the engine running at the same time). So, I learned to "slow roll" stop signs, avoiding coming to a complete stop and later got into the habit of downshifting to manual when coming to a stop. This worked but was fairly annoying and my wife wouldn't have any of it and just drove the car as intended. So every time she would drive it would do the start/stop thing all the time (and at the same time, it has a mind of its own, so it start/stops depending on conditions of the what the computer is seeing). It absolutely drove me crazy thinking about the unecessary wear and tear on the starter and the drain on the battery. So I started re-looking at a defeat and figured I'd have to spring for $100+ to get a module. My latest search pointed at this gizmo, so I thought I'd try it and if it didn't work, I'd send it back.Works like a charm! No issues that I know of. No warning lights or anything. It just drives like a normal car now and it's GREAT doing so.Start/Stop technology, as far as I know isn't government mandated, but was put in place by car manufacturers to make it appear that they were addressing fuel economy and the "climate disaster". If a person believes it does good then that's fine, but building vehicles without a disable button in my opinion is not. I want to choose whether my car tuns off for 1 second before starting back up again or not, or if it turns off and on 20+ times during a short trip downtown. This affordable device allows me to do just that.

Best $10 Iâve spent yet!
I have a 2018 traverse and was becoming very annoyed with the auto stop especially on my commute to school which can be very traffic heavy. I spent a week trying to figure out how to turn it off only to realize I couldnât and I didnât want to try the âLâ 9 position every time I drove. This has been the best $10 Iâve spent yet! There were no instructions but it was incredibly easy to put on. The hard part was just figuring how to unplug the original. They look exactly like the original piece so I didnât need the instructions. For me, I didnât have the issue of the car light turning on only the dashboard and my car still turns on with remote start. Would totally recommend!

Worked on one car, but not the other one.
This is a mixed review. I put one of these on my 2019 Equinox, and it disabled the Start/Stop feature, and I got NO check engine light. My wife bought a 2021 Equinox, and I figured I`d put one on her car. It did disable the Start/Stop, but her check engine light came on for the Hood Latch, P275E. I removed it and erased the code. I`ll try it again tomorrow, and if the CEL comes on, I`ll erase it and see if it stays off. It works on the 2019, so why won`t it work on the 2021?
