Opalesence teeth whitening products are amazing and work. I started of with the lowest concentration, because I read some whitening cause sensitivity, and worked my way up to the 20 percent. My sister noticed that my teeth were getting white, she asked if I was using the name brand whitening strips and I told her that I was using opalescence teeth whitening gel, it’s a lot better because you can ease into higher concentration(s). Fallow the recommendation of duration on your teeth. I did them at night and limited the food / drinks that could stain my teeth while using the product. I highly recommend Opalescence!

I first purchased this whitening gel from my dentist. It works amazing but recommend bleaching trays. I use my Invisalign trays. You just open the syringe by twisting the cap/lid off and applying the bleaching gel directly onto the front parts of your trays. I rub it around with the tip of the syringe, a little goes a long way. If you use too much, the gel will gush out when putting in your trays. if the gel gets on your gums wipe it off! it will cause gum sensitivity. I set a timer for 30 minutes and repeat every couple days (unless teeth are sensitive) until reaching the desired brightness of white. It only takes freshening up twice a year for me. And I drink coffee and tea daily. I'm sure everyone is different. But I always get compliments on how white my teeth are...even if I haven't bleached for a year haha Needless to say this stuff works amazing! You can always use a cheap football mouth guard and form it to your teeth for your "trays". Just bulky but way cheaper

The star rating is only for the "real" Opalescence, which is "great" as long as you don't get EXPIRED or FAKE PRODUCT. I ordered the 2 pack of Opalescence 20% in May 2016, and after 2 attempts to whiten with the product, became suspicious when it did not work. Contacted Ultradent directly and was advised that they receive a number of complaints about expired product sold online. I then purchased the product from my dentist to compare, and sure enough the dentist product has a visable, stamped expiration, whereas the one purchased online does not (nor does it whiten).I have attached photos to help readers see the difference. Upon first inspection, it's difficult to tell the difference, but the expired or knockoff has a hidden number - it appears in the photo as Q049. When contacting Ultradent, I was advised that the "049" was indicative of an older product that expired in April of 2009 or was possibly even a knockoff. BUT, the product from the dentist has a identifiable expiration of 02-2018. If you choose to bypass your dentist and purchase this product online because it is cheaper, please watch out for unscrupulous sellers and look for the expiration date! This is a classic example of Caveat Emptor . . .

My dentist made my trays and saved me some $$ by directing me to order this whitening gel on Amazon. It’s terrific! I’ve used it twice and may not need to reapply for months! Highly recommend. It’s easy to use and works amazingly well in a few hours!

I've been using this whitening gel for years and highly recommend it. You can see a difference after using them just once. I've tried both the mint and unflavored versions, definitely go with mint. The mint is a nice light flavor and leaves your mouth feeling fresh when you are done. Not a fan of the unflavored one. If you have sensitive gums or teeth make sure you do not leave this on your teeth too long! This is way cheaper than professional whitening and works well. Good product!

Had been using the 15% version of this but it was taking too long. The 20% seems just right. I use it about 3 hours. Usually 2 days in a row. Every 2 or 3 months. Works great. Doesn’t burn my gums.

The product works, but have to deal with the side effect of gum lesions . I ordered several, but stopped using them because of severe gum sourness
