The stuff sack lets it down
This is a review for the Trinordic summer/light-weight sleeping bag.Overall, this is a very nice lightweight sleeping bag with a green outer and grey inner lining. It has a zip down the right hand side with pulls on both the inside and the outside. However, the zip only extends down the side and not across the bottom so you cannot fully open out the sleeping bag to use as a quilt or blanket. The quality of the bag itself is good, with no significant stitching defects. The recommended temperatures (16 - 19 degrees C) are clearly marked on the inside of the bag, though the outside of the stuff sack says 17 degrees C + so there is a bit of a discrepancy there. I think the footbox is quite small and it feels a bit restrictive to me.For me, the stuff sack is the biggest let-down. The one that I received has a frayed edge which makes me concerned about its longevity. I also found it much harder than is typical to stuff the sleeping bag back into the stuff sack. With most sleeping bags, this can be achieved easily in less than 30 seconds, but this one felt like a battle and took me around 3 - 4 minutes to actually get it back inside. Of particular concern was that there isn't much of a lip to hold onto the stuff sack, and you have to really ram the sleeping bag in quite hard to stop it from just spilling out again. This feels like a recipe for the stuff sack to tear. Finally, the listing pictures make the packed away sleeping bag look much smaller than it really is. The picture of the man holding the bag between his two hands is particularly misleading. It's certainly not as bulky as a winter-weight sleeping bag, but it's chunkier than the pictures suggest.I realise that I've listed a lot of negative points here, but I actually do like the sleeping bag itself other than the small footbox.

Compact and lightweight
I used it on a mild week in November at Loch Lomond and was not cold at all with a thermal baselayer on also.It packs down into a very compact size due to its lightweight purpose and is easy to use and carry. The bag is made to a high standard with good materials and is excellent for what I paid, I would highly recomend it for anyone looking for a spring/summer bag and even milder autumn/winter days if temps not dropping too low at night. What I did discover is the mummy style no longer suits me as I want to sleep like a starfish these days.

Expensive for a Summer bag.
In the UK we don't get many night-time temperatures of 15C - which is this bags comfort rating. The comfort rating of a sleeping bag indicates the temperature at which the average man should get a good nights sleep, without being too cold. The average woman sleeps colder.Kudos to Trinordic for marketing it as a summer bag, and for providing truthful comfort ratings. The bag itself is well made, lightweight and has an impressively small pack size. It boasts many environmentally friendly aspects. But for the £39.99 price (at the time of reviewing) you'll be getting a bag that you will possibly only use for a few nights of the year. And another thing to look out for is the bag size - the bag I'm reviewing is only really suitable for people up to 185cm - which is just tickling on 6 foot. and the foot box tapers down quite small - to just 35cm.I would personally use this bag as a quilt, in warmer weather, with something else warm to hand incase it got chilly overnight. It could also be used as a pretty luxurious bag liner in colder weather, where the price tag of £40 would be quite acceptable for use as a liner.I'm on the fence with this one. Trinordic so some quality gear, this bag included, but the amount of use I'd get out of it is debatable in the UK.
