Lots of different designs to trace and follow. A little difficult for my son but he had a good go. Well worth it's price.

Granddaughter loved this book and gave her great ideas too!

I misread the description and thought that a 3D pen was included with the book...spoiler alert, its not!As it is, this is a book of shapes that you trace into your 3D pen so as I dont have such a pen I couldnt really say what happens next. Not really much use without a pen so I'll just give it to the first person I know with a pen and move on with my life...You live and learn, Oh well.......

Need to get the pen but the book looks good

Having recently borrowed a 3D pen, I had been managing to make some things freehand, but had seen some videos of people using templates like these. Initially I had dismissed them, thinking I'd be able to do just as well without, but this book came up to review so I thought I'd give it a shot, and it's amazing how much of a difference it can make.Using a 3D pen isn't quite as intuitive as you might imagine, so having some templates to start out with really does help.The templates in this book are quite generic and simple, but it's a good grounding and nobody can jump in with any art medium and produce something amazing without practice, and these 40 patterns are great for building up the basic skills.

My niece got a 3D pen for Christmas and my youngest daughter immediately wanted one, so she got one for her birthday in February. Both her and her older sister then spent a few weekends making all sorts of 3D creations but eventually the pen was put away and forgotten about. I saw this book and ordered it to try to reignite interest in the pen (especially because a few months ago I also got some extra filament for the pens and it's still sitting there unused!)Containing designs for a guitar, bike, butterfly, flower, Eiffel Tower, dragon, and many more, hopefully this book will keep my daughter interested a bit longer. It also comes with a thick plastic transparency to put on top of the designs so you can create on top of them without the risk of burning the book (the original set didn't come with that).
