Wanted a bluetooth mouse. And saw Logitech had many inexpensive bluetooth options. Decided to go with the M196 as it has an auto cut off feature if left alone for a while, which saves the battery, plus its a decent size and fits in your palm comfortably.Connected easily to my laptop, with no extra dongle clogging up my usb ports. I would urge any one to switch from wireless to bluetooth. Came in a poly mailer lined with bubble wrap, product box came a lil dinged up but I expected that, as all unboxing videos show everyone's item came like that. Item itself was brand new, no damages, and passed the new gadget smell test, lol.Came with a AA battery pre-installed. Build quality/design does not feel cheap to me, as I am used to Apple's magic mouse. I got the grey so the colour will not appear dirty over time. Great basic, no-frills mouse that gets the job done. The really likable aspect of this particular mouse is that it connects directly to the device's bluetooth (including iPad!) without the need of yet another USB dongle plugged into the device. That is a huge plus, as my Asus laptop only has one type-A USB port (this is the common rectangular USB port). I used to have to unplug my old mouse bluetooth dongle in order to plug in a legacy USB-A device, but with this mouse that port is left available. The only down side I have found to this mouse is that it doesn't seem to track as well as my previous mouse on the surface of a 'pleather' couch cushion. Seems to track fine on a solid surface though.

This mouse works so much better than the other crap that I had been buying for the last two mice. It’s not rechargeable but it’s been running forever on the 2AAs I never even turn it of or back on. When I need it it’s just “on”. Highly recommend it for the price.

In all my years of using computers, I have found that I can always trust the Logitech mouse. I have never had one let me down. Recently I tried a cheaper one and had to send it back; for a few dollars more, why not get the best? This one comes in a choice of colors, too; I got pink, but there are more traditional colors, too. It feels good in my hand and has a one-year battery.

This is a nice medium sized wireless mouse that I've been using with my M1 Macbook pro for the last 4 months.Easy to set up and feels pretty good. Still using the same battery, and it shows 95% in the bluetooth connection window on my mac.That being said, it did stop working, but fixed the problem with removing the battery, and "forgetting" the device in the bluetooth manager, then reconnecting as if I just added the mouse for the first time, and it resumed working - yay!
