Works well.

Purchased a 902 CG 360 deg self leveling laser and reading reviews didn’t expect it to be of much use outside in bright sunshine so bought one of these detectors as well. To my pleasant surprise found the detector could detect the beam in sunshine at a distance of 35 metres and position it’s height to a span within 2mm. I used it to determine the height of about fifty support posts for a large deck I am building. To be sure of the accuracy I checked some of the heights with a water level tube. It was spot on!NOTE you need the laser unit to be in PULSE mode for the detector to work.A few years ago a laser level and detector with this accuracy would be in the thousands of £. So yes I would recommend this detector, for the money it is excellent value.

I am using this detector with Huepar Laser Level GF360GI am very pleased with the performance it enables the laser to be used at really big distances even outside in full sun.I have used it to install and level a deck on a slope in full sun and it worked to mm accuracy.The clamp that is included enables it to be strapped to any yardstick you want to use.You can turn the sound indicator on or off as it suits you. The sound volume is a good level to be heard.The instructions are clear, it is easy to use, it is robust and quick to get started. You can be up and running in 5 minutes.I would definitely recommend.

NB Works on Green laser so No good for red laserit has more features and was cheaper than a dewalt detector. Level bubbles and tell tale up down guide on reverse as well as frontMy Gripe is that it's TOO accurate . Just a slight movement takes it from level to not level and the tone is infuriatingly loud and penetrating. You can turn volume OFF altogether but thats not very helpful. I'd suggest a +/- 2mm tolerance option switch on the level and a volume control on the bleeper

Defo recommend if using laser out doors, save a whole lot of eye strain, looking for the line.Must have pulse mode on laser tho..

I bought this along with the Huepar 902CG laser level after failed attempts to get a laser detector to work with my trusty Stanley laser level. As a pair they are a game changer for both indoors (no need for the detector) as the laser goes all round the room (not just forwards from the level as on my Stanley) creating lines on opposite walls /ceilings and floor in front and behind) and in the garden where one can now work in daylight. At a fraction of the hire costs of a surveying laser one can now set out landscaping in daylight. The range works fine the length of my 30m garden.For some reason the detector did stop working after 6 months of regular use and Amazon directed me to Huepar to sort it out (even though they weren't the specify seller on Amazon). And following a next day email reply to my enquiry and after providing a photo of the broken battery terminal connection Joan at Huepar organized a replacement which I've now received. Very pleased both with the products and the follow on customer service.

Easy and simple to use

Used this on a job once only. Put it away for a while. Went to use it again. Nothing. New battery but it would not turn on. When it was used it was fairly useless on bright days. Had to buy a different nature of laser level and reader for external work.
