We used this roof top bag for a 400 mile journey back to Scotland. It survived rain, cross winds and 350 miles of 70mph roads. The bag is well designed and waterproof, non of the stuff inside the bag got wet.We are super impressed with the bag. We managed to fit 2 cabin bags, 2 large hold-all bags, 1 suitcase, 1 dog bed and 2 carrier bags worth of clothes and shoes. There was still plenty of room spare.To put our mind at ease we put a zip tie through the lock. We also put two ratchet straps around the bag to ensure it didn’t move but I don’t think they were needed. The ratchet straps did let water into the car when parked but once we were bag on the motorways and A roads the water didn’t get in.Overall it was well designed, strong, waterproof, easy to store and great value for money.For size reference we drive a Renault Clio so we have very limited boot and roof space.

Brilliantly made strong straps with good buckles

I bought this bison gear straps for our move, and it works perfect for our estate car that is fitted with roof rails and racks.The straps are very strong and very easy to use. We put our 2m bookshelf on the roof rack and the straps held it very tight and strong. No movement at all and it was very easy to use, and the length of 5m for each strap is just perfect. I could not ask for a better product at this price for its purpose.Definitely recommending these straps to everyone.

I've bought many, many buckle straps over the years, from all different brands, at all different price points. These are great, well made, strong and reliable. The cheapest buckle straps are prone to failure when putting them under a lot of tension (especially when pulled across corners) and usually snap suddenly (there's no warning from visible fraying usually), but these thicker style straps are much more forgiving and long lasting. Buy them and you won't regret it!
