Great for reusing old Kinects
Brought this to use my old Xbox one Kinect with my PC. It’s pretty straightforward to set up; the only challenge was to find the driver but that’s besides the point. Overall a good solution for those who don’t want to risk or bother with soldering your own adapter.

Doesn't work
Purchased this for an XBox 1s. Ended up having to go out of town for an emergency and couldn't connect it right away. Then I was out of town on my kid's field trip and finally got a chance to hook it up. Tried multiple times over a week, but nothing happened at all... it's like it just didn't work, defective or dead. Never even a hint of it working. Went to return it, and I missed the return window by a day. Had to eat the cost of it (at least it wasn't expensive) but it's junk.

It Just Works.
We've had a kinect for a few years now and never really used it. It got thrown in a drawer and just sat there. I was looking for games for my 6yo daughter to play and figured Just Dance would be perfect for her. So I went to hook up the Kinect to my Xbox One S and found out there was nowhere to plug it in. So I hopped online and started looking for and adapter. I came across this one for $20, cheaper than all of the rest I had found, and ordered it. The adapter came and it was really just as simple as hooking everything up, plugging it in and going into the settings to turn the mic and camera on. The only thing I would say to someone who gets it is make sure you plug it into the USB in the back of the Xbox that says 1 on it. I read that in one of the answers to a question on here and decided to just try the one labeled 2 to see if it would work, It didn't. So I just unplugged my external hard drive from the USB labeled 1, plugged it into the one labeled 2, plugged the Kinect into the USB labeled 1, restarted the Xbox and it worked like a charm. My daughter danced until she couldn't dance anymore today so that in itself was worth the $20 I spent on it.

Served me well
i used this with my xbox kinect one for about nine months. it served me perfectly, without a single issue past the setup stage. quality of the camera was perfect for what i needed. the tracking of my body was also stellar.unfortunately i've no need for it anymore. but i'll have this reliable piece of tech for if i ever do again.
